180 Singapore companies previously classified as Provision of short-term accommodation with housekeeping services have been reclassified to Short term accommodation activities n.e.c. as part of the SSIC 2025 transition that took effect on 9 May 2026.
What changed
This sub-class includes short term accommodation activities not elsewhere classified. The accommodation provided is principally for short stay by visitors (daily or weekly basis), in self-contained space consisting of complete furnished rooms or areas for living/dining and sleeping, with cooking facilities or fully equipped kitchens, very minimal complementary services, if any, are provided. Examples: - chalets - guesthouse accommodation management services (i.e., provision of management and operating staff for operation of guesthouse) - provision of timesharing accommodation services
When the reclassifications happened
ACRA processes SSIC 2025 recodes in batches alongside its periodic ACRA-CSV refresh. The first recoded entries appeared after the 9 May 2026 cutover; subsequent batches landed when the monthly bulk drop reached our sync.
