Why was my SSIC code automatically changed from 62021 to 62011?

Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 62021 (Information technology consultancy (except cybersecurity)) was reclassified to SSIC 62011 (Development of software and applications (except games and cybersecurity)) under that mapping.

Do I need to take any action?
